Diverticulitis, Anyone else suffer it

Got diagnosed with it after a week in hospital with stomach cramps fever etc and has now flared up again so am stuck in bed resting.
Got a hospital visit end of month to see about surgery.
Anyone else ever suffer from it if so do you find any particular foods trigger it ?
