been here on DW for an age... contrib / Vip only last week posted in a tread for autodata.. but seems i have been auto demoted lol

dont worry not a rant just a post to get me back in the flow of posting been a quiet couple of years stuff at home moving lack of net nights and now working log ass days just dont seem to spend the time on the net much and when i do its mainly reading rather then posting..

my daily computer usage has gone from almost 6 hours a day to 6 a week... i just seem to get bored with the internet and even then not know what to say... now is this just old age (im 27!! lol ) or have i just hit a slump i do not know...

anyways just a post to say im still alive lol..

What is new ?​


  • New bootlogo by mikark
  • Add option: "Preferred tuner" Available in menu->setup->system->customise (Expert mode). Configure which tuner will be preferred, when more than one tuner is available. If set to 'auto' the system will give priority to the tuner having the lowest number of channels/satellites.
  • Black Hole weather: switch to msn provider to fix bug when town not found and implement auto-langauge.
  • Teletext: Update to the latest tuxtxt version (this fix rai hd televideo too)

I've got an old Navigo V1 which i was thinking of upgrading to a larger screen model
I've been trying ti find the lates models you can add your own maps etc
Ive been looking at the TomTom GO LIVE 820 but im not sure this can be done .Looking on another forum i may have to get a 2008/9 model??
ie GO 930 - released in April 2008
GO 540 LIVE - released in October 2008
GO 740 LIVE - released in October 2008
GO 940 LIVE - released in October 2008

Hello satfriends like u have noticed the bricked Solo2 Clones are falling from the sky every day...

At this moment solo2 clones get bricked whitout any reason,well first thing it IS NOT user related and also not related what image installed..

They say maybe a "timebomb" in drivers March but we dont know for sure

Also it IS NOT YET possible to fix it softwarely there are a few verry complicated sort of sollutions but best is to send it back!!

German,Dutch and English sites are reporting more of this problem every day and more and more people got theire units bricked

So please be carefull before u buying the solo2 from China ive bought 2 from same company and they both are dead,both were V2,and mostly bricked are reported V2 or V3 ...V1 not so mutch actually Smart is the only one i know who got this problem

Maybe its wise to make list of the manufacturars who produced the most of the bricked units and put this online on a doc or something so we can check this and help the people a little whom want to buy this clone

So please dont act fast and buy it but be patience and ask the people with bricked and not bricked clones where they bought it

And again this has NOTHING to do with user issues or is any image related

Be carefull and good luck

EDIT:PLEASE COULD EVERYBODY WHO GOT HIS CLONE BRICKED PM ME THE COMPANY THEY BOUGHT FROM I WANT MAKE A LIST...DONT WORRY I WILL NOT MAKE THIS PUBLIC

German and Dutch solo2 clone users downgraded their images to the ones before 15/12/2013

But do this at own risk!!!


Update:my Chines producer tells me the solution might come in a couple of days...He could be saying this to cover his a...s but i think all the companys are trying to solve this...

dm 800se clone ,roi no ca found ..help needed

Hi after months of my dm800hd se clone crashing, it was on, digitalworldz bk up image,with ssbl84d, I tried to flash a new image, patched estar open pli 4, probably wrong one it seems, anyway, I've tried all ways to contact box, internet, dreamup , and also the no ca found tool ,but no way can I communicate with the box.
All I get on front of box is roi no ca found. won't allow me to hold button for network flash.

I opened it up and found it is a, sunray sunshine tuner and also sim card is sim2.10.

Has anyone got any ideas to fix this problem or is it now bricked? all help much appreciated ..

I've not tried purchasing a game online and downloading. I assume it downloads to the HD but after that, are you able to back it up to an external HD when your HD becomes full or just as a safe guard? As the prices are no cheaper online, is it better to purchase the DVD media and at least you can swap with friends afterwards?

Hi

just got myself a new laptop with windows 8 Pro pre installed and I want to change the hard drive to a SSD but I don't have a copy of windows 8, has any one got a link to an untouched version, I have looked but can only find cracked copies.

one more question been told the serial for my copy of windows is built into the bios of the new laptop, how the heck to you input that into windows when you do an clean install as I have never come across this before.

Ubisoft have published sales statistics for core franchises including Assassin's Creed and Rayman.
As one of the biggest and most prominent publishers in the industry, Ubisoft has amassed billions of sales across a range of difference franchises over the years. The crown for most successful, however, goes to Assassin's Creed, followed closely by the family-friendly Just Dance series.

Not All Muslims are Extremists !!

In a thread on the Main Site News section about Islamic Take Over of State Schools, I posted about a Muslim neighbour ::

"I have a Muslim gentleman who lives 2 door down from me, he is well educated and very intelligent and speaks several languages, he was recently made redundant and was approached to teach in a local school, but was told that he must wear the Chamis (the Muslim Robes). He refused the job, only on the grounds of wearing the Chamis as a requirement.
He is proud of his Pakistani roots and his religion and considerers himself a devout Muslim, but he believes in proper integration and openly complains of the growth of extremist Islamists.
I may come across as anti-immigration and I have had some people insinuate that I am Racist, but this gentleman is a shining example of the type of migrant that is acceptable to any country across the world and to me he and his family are the sort of people that I would prefer to associate with and socialise with than with any person defined by their place of birth."

I would like to post another note about this gentleman and his good lady; there is a small church opposite the green outside where I live and on Friday the congregation held an open-air Easter service on the green and amongst those attending were the Muslim couple from 2 doors down. It showed to me what real integration and acceptance is about, he and his wife were showing a great respect to the local Christian church goers by being there and in my mind it is acts like this that will make people feel more at easy about the feelings of many of the ordinary Muslim families living here.
I just wanted to express my respect to him and his wife and to all the others like him.

Charity Commission warns of Islamic extremism threat

Islamic extremism is the "most deadly" threat to charities in England and Wales, the Charity Commission has said.

Chairman William Shawcross warned that while the issue is not currently widespread, it is growing.

Mr Shawcross told the Sunday Times the regulator is taking action against charities sending money to various groups in Syria.

He has asked the prime minister for measures to stop those with terrorism convictions from setting up charities.

Currently, those convicted of money laundering or terrorism are not automatically barred from doing so, or from becoming a trustee.

Mr Shawcross said: "It is ludicrous that people with convictions for terrorist offences are not automatically disqualified from serving as charity trustees."

The regulator is currently investigating a number of charities raising funds for causes in Syria.

Mr Shawcross advised that agencies had to be vigilant.

"I'm sure that in places like Syria and Somalia it is very, very difficult for charities always to know what the end use of their aid is, but they've got to be particularly vigilant," he said.

"The problem of Islamist extremism and charities... is not the most widespread problem we face in terms of abuse of charities, but is potentially the most deadly.

"And it is, alas, growing."
'Salami-slicing'

In the interview, his first since becoming chairman of the Charity Commission in 2012, Mr Shawcross also said its funding is currently "unsustainable".

"We need two things if we're to continue to improve the commission's performance," said the biographer and author.

"We need a more sustainable funding position and we need stronger legal powers to tackle abuse and mismanagement.

"I know public finances are tight but our funding situation is unsustainable.

"We cannot keep responding to continuous salami-slicing of our budget."

This was rampant under the last government, funding Islamic charity's that then pass that money on to Islamist organizations that are fighting our troops.
