Hi anybody have any ideas on how i can find out any information on a couple of tracks.
Back in the day probably early 80's I used to listen to the Friday Rock Show presented by Tommy Vance and like many would record the show and cut and paste the resulting tape to make up listening material for the car.
A few years ago I was playing around with Adobe Audition and was using some of these tapes to test out and sort the best way to get music from tape to digital format.
During the process I "found" two tracks on these tapes that I would like to find out who the bands are and what the tracks are called. My writing is poor at the best of times but trying to read the cover of a 30 year old tape that knocked around the car for some years and then stored in the garage is nigh on impossible.
I have looked at a few Rock Music Forums to see if I could upload the tracks or part and ask anybody but all ive looked at their rules and regulations an they say you cant up load or link to copyrighted material.
For all I know these bands may not even have put out a record or be signed at the time as I think they may have been in the Battle of the Bands feature.
Both tracks have a touch of very early Marillion about them, anybody have any ideas on how to find out who they are ?
