Samsung Galaxy S4 problem maybe???

Guy's a friend of mine has a Galaxy S4 and what he wants to do is print off his phone to a wifi Brother printer. When attempting to do this the message comes up. You must have a Samsung Printer to do this. Surely he doesn't have to run out and buy a bloody Samsung printer now does he?. Are there any Apps out there that can be downloaded to overide this feature?. What a rip off. :(
