xbmc pi questions

hi guys
few questions for the PI, ive got xbmc installed and wifi connected. I have tried plugging in my usb hdd but it doesnt show up, it is formatted for windows however and holds all of my movies. Also how do i add other repos etc as id like sportsdevil etc
