Why is it such hard work

Just to get an item you have paid for delivered to an alternate address.

I mean really ffs, is it so difficult.

I always arrange for deliveries to be sent to my mother/father-in laws address because I can pretty much 99.9% guarantee they will be in to sign for something, it also saves me any hassle with regards to idiot drivers that don't have the sense to leave items with a neighbor and as has happened before it gets shipped back to the retailer.

I don't have a permanent work address (well I do, but it's just on paper and haven't been there in 3 years), plus I could be on different sites from one week to the next.....and even if I am at somewhere for any length of time, items are likely to get lost because I'm a contractor working across multiple school sites and staff generally have no idea who i am.

But no because of "security reasons", which I find amazing in this day and age when multiple online retailers will pretty much deliver to wherever you want them to, this one can't, insisting, that If I can't be in to take delivery I need to have it sent to a registered business address.....

So much for it being £20 cheaper...
