s10 password defeat

for an s10 receiver that you forgot the password or simply don't know it,get a full flash dump via rs232 and loader v2.0.0c.
Open the full .abs file in a hex editor and do a search for the hex string 21 43 65 87 FF
there should be 1 instance.Edit that to read FF FF FF FF and save.Write the edited firmware back to receiver and the password should be the default 0000 again.
