name based virtual hosts on

hi all

i have setup a name based virtual hosts on a ubuntu 12.10 server that i am running 2 web sites on

site1

site2

on the same network i have my other pc that i have windows 7 running on

i have edit my host file to point to both of my web sites and done the same with all my other pc on my internal network

my host file edits
192.168.0.104 xxx.site2.com

site1 is setup in the virtual hosts to be the default web site ,so can just use the internal ip to login to this site

now all my web sites work fine on all my internal network pc

but the time has come to let my mates in on the fun ,site1 is working fine but for the life of me i can not work out a way for my mates to login to site 2

i have tried to edit there host files the same as i did but with my outside ip but it still not working

my router is setup for port 4000 and forwards on to port 80 to my server

as you can see i am new at this so be kind
